Hi everyone,
so I have two cats who are a little over one year old. Both are very sweet and friendly and indoor cats. My husband has been taking them outside into the back yard and now lately they both are meowing and whining a lot. Now all they want to do is go outside. It drives me crazy because one will start meowing and meowing and going to the door. Then that one stops the other one starts!
They are both healthy so there aren't any 'medical' reasons for their meowing. My problem is I don't know how to make them stop! I've tried shushing them, squirting them with the squirt bottle, picking them up and petting them. Everything and they still do it...any advice?

I don't know if this will work, but I meow back at mine. It usually confuses her, she gets board and stops. But, she's also terrified of outside.
1I gave up and started letting mine out - between the meowing and the actual darting out when the door is open. Good luck!
